Project timeline

Our 12 month timeline for Kirkley Hall is detailed below.  Phase 1 is currently underway, and we'll be posting updated to our blog and news section as things take shape on campus.

  • October 2019

    Electrical works

    Significant replacement of mechanical and electrical works ensuring our facilities our efficient, safe and supports a positive learning experience.

    Estate maintenance

    Extensive estate maintenance and refurbishment of buildings, learning spaces and grounds across the campus.

    Roof works

    Roof works on the Sports Hall and Field House, keeping our students warm and comfortable while extending the lifespan of our facilities for years to come.

    Equine teaching environments

    New equine teaching environments, general maintenance of our stables and associated buildings. Creating the best working environments and the highest standard of accommodation for our horses.

    Equine arena

    A brand new Equine Arena, creating a training and learning environment that our staff, students and the community will be proud of. 

  • January 2020

    New SEND facilities

    A new purpose built SEND facility For students with educational needs and disabilities at the heart of our student community, developing life and employability skills.

    Student accomodation

    Our students come from far afield to study at our facilities, with many opting to board with us during the week. Their welfare, safety and security is very important and as such there will be a completely refurbished accommodation block created for these students.

    Below ground works

    Its not just above the ground improvements, we are even replacing drainage and sewage works.

    Bridge strengthening

    Strengthening of the bridge flowing over the river running through the middle of our estate. Keeping the safety of our staff, students and visitors on the estate at the top of our priorities.

  • March 2020

    New kitchen

    A new kitchen to cook up our nutritious animal meals. With over 100 species of animals, reptiles and amphibians dinner time at the Zoo needs specialist equipment to keep everyone happy and well fed.
